*** Vacation notice***  Our volunteers will not be processing applications, responding to emails, or messages July 1, 2017 - July 8, 2017. We all work very hard and will take this week to celebrate the Fourth of July and enjoy vacation with family and friends.

Assistance is limited to two pets per household per year.

You must fill out the application COMPLETELY. If you skip ANY of the fields, your application will not be processed. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Once your application has been accepted, you will be contacted by one of our volunteers.

Pawsitive Direction provides partial to full sponsorship for spay/neuter procedure.

Assistance will be in the form of a voucher for the Columbia Humane Society (their permanent clinic or the mobile Fido Fixer Clinic).

We assist with the cost of the spay or neuter and required vaccines only. If your pet requires an e-collar, this is your responsibility.

Transportation to the vet is your responsibility. 

Pawsitive Direction is not responsible for any after care that your pet may require. If your pet has recovery complications or requires additional treatment post surgery, you, the owner, are responsible for covering those costs.

REQUIREMENTS

Pets not meeting the listed requirements will not be approved.

Dogs and cats must be at least 3 months old, but no older than 4 years.

Dogs must be current on their rabies and distemper/parvo. If not, they will be required on the day of surgery. (Included in the price of procedure)

Dogs must weigh between 5 and 45 pounds (this is for the mobile clinic)

Otherwise, dogs must weigh between 5 and 80 pounds for the regular clinic.

Cats must weigh at least 3 pounds. Cats must be current on their rabies and FVRCP. If not, they will be required on the day of surgery.

Spays cannot be performed on animals that are pregnant or have litters under the age of 12 weeks.

Only healthy animals can undergo the procedure. If your animal is ill or injured,  spay/neuter will be declined. 

We will not cover the cost of any elective procedures or additional services.

Completing an application does not guarantee assistance from our program. Assistance approval and amount of assistance is based on how much funding is available, may vary by pets age and weight, and is also determined on a case by case determination at the discretion of our board.
